WPC: Fresh

For this week’s photo challenge, share a photo of something fresh.

My daughter and I spent the first day of Spring, visiting the alligator farm in Hot Springs. We followed that with a short stack of pancakes at IHOP, her request, then came home just in time for it to start raining.

I love Spring. To me, it represents a fresh start in life; everything blooming and waking up. The vibrant colors popping out, adding color to the grey bleakness that represented Winter. Birds chirping, squirrels chattering and their newborns cry out for food. It’s a fresh, new life in another Spring season.

One Word Photo Challenge: Rainbow

I love rainbows. Just something about a bow of bright colors magically appearing high in the sky after a storm. It stands out in its unique way across a dark blue sky, causing almost everyone to notice it. They make me smile and feel like a giddy child as I think back to stories from my childhood of the pot-o-gold at the end of the rainbow or the one about Noah and the Ark.
Here are a few pictures I have taken of some rainbows. Enjoy! And may you have a blessed day! 🙂

One Word Photo Challenge: Peach

Here’s a little bit of knowledge to go along with this weeks ‘One Word Photo Challenge’: Peaches are originally from China, but the nutritious fruit became popular, spreading throughout the world through the trade routes. They’re low in calories and contain no saturated fats. They do contain a lot of antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins, such as potassium, fluoride, iron, lutein, Vitamin-A, B-Carotene, Vitamin-C, just to name a few.
